New: Organic Tofu Made in Luxembourg

From the field to the refrigerated shelf: Organic tofu from Luxembourg
Soybeans from Sprinkange, produced by the LuxSoy manufactory in Givenich and 100% organic quality – a true pioneering project from Luxembourg.
For the first time, an organic tofu is produced entirely in Luxembourg – from the bean to the finished product. With their company LuxSoy, Ben Christmann and Eric Herber produce Luxembourgish tofu. Even the soybeans come from regional cultivation: from BIOG farmer Luc Emering and his organic farm “An Dudel” in Sprinkange.
Tofu manufactory in Givenich
In October 2024, Ben and Eric founded the company LuxSoy. In a small kitchen in Givenich, they produce their organic tofu carefully by hand.
The result is a finely textured tofu with a mild, nutty flavor. Thanks to its pleasant, slightly creamier consistency, it is ideal for frying, marinating, or for creative wok and bowl dishes. The short transport distances not only make the product more sustainable but also ensure exceptional freshness.
Organic certification and regional partnership
From the very beginning, Ben and Eric were clear about one thing: the beans must be grown without chemical-synthetic fertilizers or pesticides and, of course, without genetically modified seeds. In organic farmer Luc Emering, they found the right partner.
Thanks to ecological cultivation and processing directly in the manufactory, the tofu meets all the requirements for organic certification.
“With our tofu, we combine regional value creation, ecological responsibility, and conscious nutrition,” explains Ben.
Small in quantity, big in ambition
Currently, LuxSoy produces only around 25 kilograms of tofu per day, exclusively for the BIOG brand. This makes BIOG tofu a true artisanal product – produced in small batches with a great deal of handcraft and attention to detail. For this reason, it is available exclusively in NATURATA Bio Marchés.
“We are very pleased about the cooperation with LuxSoy, because this product perfectly complements our organic assortment and embodies what we stand for: sustainability and – wherever possible – regionality,” explains Alexander Worms, Managing Director at Naturata.
BIOG tofu is now available in the refrigerated section at Naturata and, together with many other products related to the theme “Asia”, is currently offered at a promotional price.
